A £3 Dupe for Jo Malone's £90 Colonge?!



Jo Malone has become such a sought after brand and it's no wonder when their scents are so beautiful and are really unique but the same can't be said for the accompanying price tag. At £90 for an 100ml bottle this truly is a luxury product that the average Joe would have to think long and hard about investing in. In comes Primark with their new range of fragrances, a little too similar to Jo Malone's cult combinations, not that I am complaining in the slightest. As I own the original Pomegranate Noir myself I was desperate to try Primark's version (Pomegranate and Black Tea) to see how well they compared and I was really shocked with how similar they are! At £3 I didn't have crazily high expectations but my hopes were exceeded tenfold.

Even down to the description Primark has used for this is a definite copy at JM "Known at Primark HQ as the scent ‘equivalent of a daring red dress’, Pomegranate & Black Tea is your new spicy and sophisticated date night perfume. Think flamenco emoji" compared with Jo Malone's notes "The sensuality of a daring red dress. Ruby-rich juices of Pomegranate raspberry and plum are spiked with pink pepper and laced with Casablanca lily and spicy woods." Could they get any more obvious?! 

 I personally loved my original because of how rich the scent was whilst still being fruity and Primark has done an outstanding job at replicating all of these qualities for a fraction of the price (almost 15 times less to be exact). 
The collection contains six unisex fragrances aimed at recreating Jo Malone's bestsellers including Rose Oud, Jasmine and Honey, Vanilla Absolute, Amber Noir, Mandarin and Basil and finally, Pomegranate and Black Tea. Alongside the 20ml bottles, Primark stocks 100ml bottles of the fragrance as well as matching room sprays, diffusers and hand wash all for extremely reasonable prices.

 If you want to get your hands on one of these you need to act fast as they are selling out everywhere!!

A little bit of Luxury

 I feel that facial oils get a bit of a bad rep for causing breakouts by being too heavy and greasy on the skin especially for people get oily patches i.e. me, surely if you use an oil on your face it will cause your skin to become uncontrollably greasy and unpleasant, right? Beauty On A Budget- Naked 2 Alternative

         Like the look of Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette but not loving the price tag? Check out the MUA undressed palette from superdrug for an astonishing £4 compared the Naked 2 which is £37. Both come with 12 different really wearable bronzy shades. The pigmentation and colour pay off is obviously going to be quite a lot better in the naked palette but for the price you pay the MUA palette is a wonderful dupe and can create some equally as great smoky eye looks.
